Realtor.com has put out its Hottest Zip Codes of 2025 list and two of the top 10 are in Connecticut and four are in the top 50.

The company said the report spotlights the U.S. zip codes where buyer interest is strongest and homes are flying off the market.

The ranking is based on market demand and the number of days a listing is active on Realtor.com.

Trumbull came in seventh and South Windsor came in ninth.

In Trumbull, the median listing price is $666,000 and the median number of days on the market is 25.

In South Windsor, the median listing price is $406,000 and the median number of days on the market is 27.

The 06074 zip code in South Windsor and the 06611 zip code in Trumbull each have a homeownership rate over 80%.

Realtor.com said the Northeast and Midwest dominate the list while the South and West are not on it for a third year.

Realtor.com said all of the top zips in 2025 are suburbs with strong ties to major metro areas and attract homebuyers who want “suburban tranquility without losing job access or infrastructure.”

The company said its hottest zips “lean older and wealthier, drawing buyers with stronger credit profiles and larger down payments than the national norm.”

The typical household income in the hottest zip codes was $114,000, above the national average of $79,000, and the average credit score was 759, versus 748 nationwide, according to the website, while down payments were also higher than the national norm.
